Booking Terms & Conditions

Welcome to AdventureTouristik! We’re thrilled that you’re considering embarking on an unforgettable journey with us. Before booking your adventure, please take a moment to read our Booking Terms & Conditions carefully. We’ve crafted this with transparency and fairness in mind, ensuring that you know what to expect from the moment you sign up until the time you return home, filled with stories and memories.

By booking a trip with AdventureTouristik, you agree to comply with these terms, so please read them carefully and let us know if you have any questions.

1. Booking Your Adventure

1.1 How to Book

Booking with us is simple! You can reserve your spot through our website, by phone, or by reaching out to one of our travel specialists. Once you’ve selected your adventure, you’ll need to:

  • Complete our online booking form.
  • Pay a deposit to secure your place.
  • Review and confirm acceptance of these terms & conditions.

1.2 Deposits & Payments

To confirm your booking, a non-refundable deposit is required. The exact amount varies by trip, but typically it’s 50% of the total trip cost. Some high-demand destinations or custom itineraries may require a higher deposit.

The remaining balance is due no later than 2 days before departure or upon your arrival at airpot. If booking within 1 day of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Failure to make final payment on time may result in cancellation of your booking, with applicable cancellation fees.

1.3 Late Bookings

If you’re booking last minute (less than 5 days before departure), we’ll do our best to confirm your spot. However, availability, accommodations, and flights may be limited. Full payment is required at the time of booking.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

2.1 Cancellation by You

If you need to cancel your trip, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. Cancellation fees apply as follows:

  • More than 60 days before departure – Loss of deposit(10% of what you paid).
  • 30 to 59 days before departure – 50% of total trip cost.
  • 15 to 29 days before departure – 75% of total trip cost.
  • 14 days or less before departure – 100% of total trip cost (no refund).

If you are unable to travel but find someone to take your place, we will allow a name transfer at no additional cost, provided the airline and tour conditions permit it.

Alternatively, if you choose to cancel your tour, you may be eligible to receive a travel credit coupon instead of a refund. This coupon can be used by yourself, a family member, or a friend for a future trip with AdventureTouristik. In such cases:

  • The coupon value will be 90% of the amount you originally paid.
  • A 10% service fee will be deducted to cover administrative and operational costs.
  • No additional transfer fee will be charged.
  • The coupon is non-refundable, but fully transferable.
  • It must be used within 12 months of the original departure date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

This option is designed to offer you flexibility and value, while also helping us manage logistics smoothly without incurring refund processing costs.

2.2 Cancellation by Us

In rare cases, we may need to cancel a trip due to insufficient bookings, force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, political instability), or other unforeseen circumstances. If this happens, you will receive:

  • A full refund of payments made to us, OR
  • The option to transfer your booking to a future departure at no extra cost.

We are not responsible for third-party costs, such as flights, visas, or travel insurance, so we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance.

3. Changes to Your Booking

3.1 Changes by You

If you wish to make changes to your booking (e.g., changing dates or switching to another trip), please contact us as soon as possible. Changes made:

  • More than 60 days before departure – No change fee (except for airline, accommodation, or third-party fees).
  • 30 to 59 days before departure – $100 change fee per person.
  • Less than 30 days before departure – Changes not permitted.

Some custom trips, flights, and accommodations may have stricter policies. We’ll let you know if additional fees apply.

3.2 Changes by Us

We always strive to deliver the itinerary as planned. However, in rare circumstances (such as weather disruptions, government regulations, or operational reasons), we may need to make adjustments. If a major change is necessary, we will:

  • Inform you as soon as possible.
  • Offer alternative arrangements of equal or greater value.
  • Provide a refund if no suitable alternative is available.

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding—adventure travel can be unpredictable!

4. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory for all travelers. Your policy must cover:

  • Medical expenses (including COVID-19-related illness).
  • Emergency evacuation and repatriation.
  • Trip cancellation/interruption.
  • Lost baggage and personal belongings.

You must provide proof of insurance before departure. If you arrive without valid insurance, we reserve the right to deny participation in the trip.

5. Health & Fitness Requirements

5.1 Physical Requirements

Our adventures range from easy cultural trips to challenging expeditions. Some trips involve hiking, altitude, or remote locations. It’s your responsibility to ensure you are physically and medically fit for the trip. If in doubt, consult your doctor.

5.2 Medical Conditions & Dietary Needs

Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions when booking. While we will do our best to accommodate, certain locations may have limited options.

6. Travel Documents & Visas

6.1 Passports & Visas

It’s your responsibility to obtain all necessary visas and travel documents before departure. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your return date.

6.2 Entry Requirements

Certain countries may require COVID-19 tests, vaccinations, or health declarations. Please check requirements well in advance.

7. Responsibility & Liability

7.1 Our Commitment

We are dedicated to delivering safe, ethical, and well-organized adventures. However, travel involves risks, and we cannot be held liable for:

  • Delays, injuries, loss, or damage caused by third parties (airlines, hotels, etc.).
  • Natural disasters, political unrest, or other force majeure events.
  • Loss of valuables, passports, or personal items.

We highly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover any unexpected situations.

7.2 Traveler Conduct

We expect all travelers to respect local cultures, fellow travelers, and our guides. Any behavior that is disruptive, illegal, or endangers the group may result in removal from the trip without refund.

 8. Code of Conduct & Zero Tolerance Policy

8.1 No Sexual Harassment or Drug Use

At AdventureTouristik, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all travelers and staff. We have zero tolerance for:

  • Sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior of any kind.

  • Use or possession of any illegal drugs or substances, including but not limited to: charas, powder, weed, marijuana, or any form of narcotics.

Any violation of this policy may result in immediate removal from the trip without refund and possible legal consequences under national and international laws, including the strict drug laws of Pakistan.

8.2 Respect Local Laws & Culture

Pakistan is a country rich in traditions and customs. We expect all travelers to:

  • Show respect to local communities and cultural practices.

  • Dress appropriately, especially in rural or religious areas.

  • Avoid any behavior that may be deemed offensive or disrespectful.

8.3 No Refunds After Trip Begins

Once the trip has commenced, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. This includes voluntary withdrawal, dissatisfaction, personal issues, or conflict during the trip. Personal matters are the responsibility of the traveler and should not interfere with the group experience or operations.

8.4 Guide and Client Satisfaction

Travelers have the right to request to see the guide’s license at the beginning of the trip. If you are not satisfied with the assigned guide, AdventureTouristik will do its best to provide a replacement, subject to availability.

8.5 Inclusive Travel for All

Whether you’re a solo traveler, a couple, a family, or a group of friends, you are welcome at AdventureTouristik. We are proud to offer LGBTQ+ inclusive travel experiences across Pakistan. Discrimination of any kind—including based on gender, race, religion, or orientation—will not be tolerated.

8.6 Food Preferences & Special Diets

We respect and accommodate dietary preferences, including:

  • Vegetarian / Vegan

  • Non-Vegetarian

  • Gluten-free (available upon request)

  • Any specific dietary needs (must be communicated before your arrival in Pakistan)

We will do our best to make the necessary arrangements when informed in advance.

8.7 Refunds & Transfer Policy

In some special cases, refunds may be considered in line with our policy. If a refund is approved, a 25% transfer and services fee will be deducted from the total amount paid.

8.8 Time Punctuality & Unexpected Delays

At AdventureTouristik, we make every effort to follow international standards of time management and adhere strictly to the itinerary promised in your tour plan. However, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding in the face of unpredictable challenges.

Due to the remote and mountainous nature of many of our destinations in Pakistan, please be aware that:

  • We may encounter unpaved roads, altitude-related delays, limited mobile connectivity, landslides, and other logistical challenges.

  • Delays can occur due to slow local processes, infrastructure limitations, or weather-related disruptions.

  • In rare cases, political protests, religious processions, or security measures may require us to make last-minute adjustments for your safety.

These factors are often beyond our control, and our team is trained to make quick decisions in your best interest. While these changes may differ from the original plan, they are made with the intent to deliver the best possible experience in the circumstances.

This is not a warning, but a friendly reminder to set expectations appropriately. We truly understand that travelers from countries with punctual, well-organized systems may find such changes frustrating—and we empathize with that. Please know that we do our absolute best to overcome these hurdles and still provide an enriching adventure.

Document Requirements:

We also print multiple copies of your passport and visa in advance. This may feel unusual, but it's necessary due to frequent police checkpoints in various regions. At each checkpoint, we are often required to submit a printed copy due to the bureaucratic processes still in place in many remote areas of Pakistan.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding—these measures are solely for your safety and compliance with local regulations.

8.9 Responsible Travel in Gilgit-Baltistan

At AdventureTouristik, we are committed to sustainable and respectful tourism. As many of our adventures take you through the pristine and culturally rich region of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), we ask all travelers to follow these essential guidelines:

  1. Choose Local & Registered Guides
Always travel with certified local guides. This not only ensures your safety and an informed experience, but also supports the local economy.

  2. Respect Local Culture
Gilgit-Baltistan has diverse traditions and customs. Please research and respect local practices to avoid misunderstandings.

  3. Don’t Litter
Carry a garbage bag and dispose of waste responsibly. Help keep GB clean and beautiful for future generations.

  4. Ask Before Entering Fields
Many farmlands in GB are privately owned. Always seek permission before walking through or entering such areas.

  5. Respect Privacy
Please ask before taking photos of local people—especially women and elders—to ensure comfort and consent.

  6. Don’t Give Money to Kids
Instead of cash, consider donating books, pencils, or educational materials. This encourages long-term support for education.

  7. Keep It Peaceful
Avoid playing loud music in nature or villages. GB is known for its serene environment—help preserve its tranquility.

  8. Hire Expert Drivers
Roads in GB can be narrow, winding, and tricky. Always travel with experienced drivers familiar with local conditions for your safety.

Explore Gilgit-Baltistan with care, curiosity, and respect.
By traveling responsibly, you play a vital role in preserving the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

8.10 Guest Awareness & Safety Guidelines

Upon your arrival in Pakistan, our professional guide will brief you on several important local considerations to help ensure your safety and comfort throughout the journey. These points are also published on our website for your reference:

We kindly ask that all guests respect and follow these essential safety and conduct guidelines:

  1. Protect Your Privacy:
Please do not share your personal contact information (phone number, email, social media, etc.) with strangers or people you meet during the trip. If you choose to do so, AdventureTouristik will not be held responsible for any consequences that may arise.

  2. Beware of False Intentions:
While most locals are warm and hospitable, some individuals may approach foreign guests with personal motives, such as seeking marriage or financial help. In some cases, these offers are made with the hidden intent of securing a visa or immigration opportunity. Sharing your contact is entirely your personal choice, but we strongly advise caution.

  3. Loyalty to AdventureTouristik:
We ask that all travelers remain loyal to our company and not engage with competing tour service providers during their stay. We take pride in delivering high-quality, professional services with integrity, and we expect the same mutual respect from our clients.

  4. Confidential Pricing:
Please do not discuss the price you’ve paid for your tour with travelers from other companies or local guides. Our rates are carefully structured based on service level, logistics, and trip customization. Such discussions can lead to confusion or misunderstandings.

  5. Safety & Belongings:
We urge all guests to take full responsibility for their personal belongings. While our team is always here to assist, AdventureTouristik cannot be held liable for any loss or theft.

    1. Keep valuables in a locker, or entrust them to our staff when necessary.

    2. Do not carry expensive items or large amounts of cash while exploring.

    3. Be especially cautious in crowded areas, as pickpockets may be active.

  6. Going Out on Your Own:
You are, of course, free to explore on your own, but we strongly recommend informing our team beforehand, especially if you plan to go out with someone you’ve just met. Your safety is our responsibility during your stay with us, and we can only assist or intervene when we are aware of your whereabouts.

8.11 Cultural Sensitivities & Alcohol Policy (Hunza Water – Local Wine)

During your journey, you may hear about or encounter “Hunza Water”—a locally made traditional alcoholic beverage with deep roots in the history of the Hunza Valley. This drink has been part of the region’s culture for over 1,000 years, dating back to the time when Hunza was an independent princely state.

While it holds cultural significance for some local communities and is often prepared privately at home for special occasions, it’s important to understand the legal and social context:

  • Alcohol is strictly regulated in Pakistan due to religious and cultural reasons. For Pakistani citizens, the possession and consumption of alcohol requires a valid government-issued license.

  • Foreign tourists, however, are generally permitted to carry and consume alcohol privately, provided it does not cause public disturbance or offense to local customs.

  • “Hunza Water” is not legally sold and is often produced in unregulated, homemade conditions. Due to the need to avoid detection, it is frequently fermented quickly, which can result in poor quality or potential health risks.

  • For this reason, AdventureTouristik does not recommend consuming Hunza Water. If you choose to try it, please do so at your own discretion and responsibility.

We understand that for many of our Western guests, wine and spirits are a regular part of cultural experiences. However, we kindly ask you to be mindful of local laws, traditions, and sensitivities while in Pakistan. Our goal is to help you enjoy the richness of the local culture while respecting the values of the region.
